The start of the American Revolution changed the scope of
the American people and the entire society as a whole. Occurring between the
years, 1765 and 1783, the American Revolution spanned 18 entire years and
altered history greatly. Overall, what the American Revolution did was separate
the 13 existing colonies which included Delaware ,
New Jersey , Georgia ,
South Carolina ,
and many others from The British Empire. After the American Revolution ended,
that was when the United
States of America was officially formed.
There was a main reason why the war started in the first
place and it was because a parliament tax was implemented in the year 1765.
This tax began such protests including the infamous Boston Tea Party. During
the American Revolution, the American Revolutionary War occurred from the years
1775 until 1783. It is said that the reason why the American Revolution was
such an integral part of our history here in the United
States is because the Revolution incorporated social,
intellectual, and political changes in all of America which was indeed,
revolutionary. These changes seeped into the American Government and altered
the entire society as a whole in terms of thought, potential, opportunity, and
progression. In addition, there were a multitude of different events which
happened during the years that the American Revolution was in progress and they
included the Sugar Act, The Stamp Act of 1765, The Declaratory Act, The
Townshed Acts, The Boston Massacre, The Intolerable Acts, and much, much more!
Even the women that lived during that time period participated greatly within
the events of the American Revolution. And, other countries around the world
such as Spain and France even
involved themselves in the American Revolution. African Americans as well as
Native Americans were also extremely active in the American Revolution. To put
it succinctly, the American Revolution was a true phenomenon.
